With an unwavering commitment to sourcing premium seasonal ingredients from California's bountiful landscapes and championing local farmers and ranchers, Meehan curates what he proudly terms contemporary Californian cuisine. His prominent presence in the Los Angeles culinary arena attests to his unwavering passion and relentless pursuit of culinary mastery.

Originating from Long Island, New York, Meehan's culinary journey commenced at a tender age in a neighborhood fried chicken establishment. He pursued formal culinary education at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, and further sharpened his skills through apprenticeships, including one at the Michelin-starred L'alban Chambon in Belgium.

In 2000, Meehan relocated to Los Angeles, joining the esteemed L'Orangerie restaurant under the tutelage of Chef Ludo Lefebvre. Progressing through renowned establishments such as Bastide and Patina, where he earned accolades including a coveted Michelin Star, Meehan embarked on his personal culinary venture, Kali Dining, which ultimately evolved into the acclaimed Kali restaurant.

Beyond the kitchen, Meehan treasures moments with his family at their Culver City residence, often hosting gatherings for friends. When not immersed in culinary endeavors, he can be found on the golf course or fervently supporting his beloved soccer team, Chelsea.
